How Do I Remove Front Page Content Without Hurting SERPS?

I have just had a site redesign and want to remove some content from the front page but don't want to lose any SERPS.

Is there a way to do this?

I want to trim down the recently added section,as the page is getting longer and longer, and add more graphics.Would putting the recently added section in an iframe work or would that be penalised by Google etc?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Analyze which contents keeps you in top in SERPs and keep them. Alternatively you could also use Anchors to make the navigation easy for users.

move the content to another page, link to this page from the homepage. No damage done (tried and tested).

Set up a mod rewrite in .htaccess to my site instead. You will feel much better about yourself afterwards. ;)
