How Do I redirect .com/index.jsp to www.com/index.jsp with Tomcat?

I'm very familiar with the .htaccess file and the code used to redirect traffic from no www. to www. with .php pages on an Apache linux server, but I can't seem to make it work for .jsp pages running Tomcat! Can anyone please help me?

The site I'm working on is this one http://lendacheck.com/index.jsp but I need it to be http://www.lendacheck.com/index.jsp

Is there any way to make this work without an .htaccess file? Thanks in advance for any help!
