Hi I was looking for a script or a way to pull posts from other websites and have them be posted on my page with a Thumbnail Image. For example I hope it's ok to post this link as an example - hollyrude.com The website updates by itself every 5 minutes and shows a clickable thumbnail link to a forum or blog post on other websites, I assume they get persmission from the sites first which is what I plan to do. I have asked how this is done on various forums and not a single person has ever managed to answer, wondered if you guys would be able to shed any light on it? I've seen it done with wordpress but that's not quite what I was looking for. Thank you.
Needs thousand lines of codes.there is no ready-to-use software to do this. I have great experience in this job.in one of my projects,i done this for a news websites, that grabs whole content + image from 5 other news websites. if you need same, contact me
You have to write code to specifically for each site that you want to get the data from. Once you figure out how each of the site's content(HTML) is structured, all you have to do is write code to scrape the HTML content. Each site's structure will be different. This does not take thousands of lines of code. You can send me $5 via Paypal for saving you from that rip off above there looking for a job
Be Polite and Think before you speak. did you read the sentence "with a Thumbnail Image"? did you know this guy needs scheduling? did you know most websites has blocked requests from robot without referrer?
I'm sorry, but if those things you mentioned are an obstacle to you, Its obvious you're pretty much a newbie. There is currently no hack-free method to block what the OP wants to achieve. I really don't see why thumb-nailing and scheduling will pose a problem. I do similar stuff every week. Maybe if I break it down in newbie logic you'll understand - what ever a user can see/do, so can a well designed bot. You're right, I should have been polite. You see, I automatically assumed you were advanced in the area but trying to complicate things to get $$ out of the OP. I'll cater for novices in the future when I reply.
