I have a lot of movies in .avi format on my computer. When I convert them to MPEG though, they each turn out to be 2-3GB in size. I've seen many DVD5 discs (with 4.5 GB of space in them) hold upto 5 movies in excellent print quality. Can anyone tell me how I can achieve this level of compression with my movies when I convert from AVI to MPEG? I want to put at least 3 movies on a DVD. Thanks for your help.
Use a DVD authoring tool, like NERO Vision or WinDVD creator.. (There are plenty of free programs too) With Nero vision you can easily put three movies (in VOB format) on a single DVD5 disk...
No, I'm referring to regular AVIs. Ok, thanks... Until now, I was under the impression that avi = divx... thanks for the info. Will try Nero Vision. Thanks a lot.
