how do i provide a download link once a customer pays

could anyone plz help with the above question

Suppose i am selling an ebook on a website, how do i provide an immediate download link to them when they pay via paypal for example?

The simple answer is that you set the return URL to the download page.

It is not really simple because you have to change it after a few sales or it will be shared on a lot of warez sites.

That will get you started and if business is good you can look at one of the IPN scripts that provide an expiring download link that masks the real location of the download.
