How do I promote this new concept?

    Hi Everyone

I have joined this forum to learn how to market my new website and the concept we have developed. For the last 18 months or so we have had exclusive deals with main stream broadcasters and have little or no web presence.

My problem is that traffic coming to the website from the Tv channels and Newspapers converts at about 1:60 and the traffic that I have paid for so far through Google Adwords is converting much worse at about 1:500.

I think it could be a trust factor and that people coming for the first time think that the prizes maybe too good to be true. In fact we have a fully fledged insurance policy in place making sure that all winners would indeed receive the prizes as shown on the website.

Anyway I invite you all to take a look at proactivegames dot com and give me your opinion on both the website and maybe what I need to do in order to get more traffic and convert at a higher rate.

I look forward to all feedback and thank everyone in advance that maybe able to help me with this dilema.

Put some testimonials on the site of users that are satisfied. simple techniques like that can definitely improve your conversion ratio.

Implement some videos where we can see YOU talking about your services, placing an image (or even better the video) always adds authority, and like elitepuzo said add some testimonials, video testimonials are even better ;)

Yeah I must say...The prizes look totally unrealistic....It almost just turns me off. I would suggest making a prizes tab and explain each prize in detail. Testimonials is also a good idea as elite suggested...

    I am promoting a concept/site too .
    Thanks for reminding me .
I think one effective way is to repeat the concept to your visitors/customs thousand times a day .
( lying thousands of times become the truth . :D )
    Yes, it will work .

I think also you could go more viral with what you're doing....get people posting on forums for you talking about the cool contests or prizes you're offering.

You mean that you are getting 1 sale out of every 60 visitors?

    That's a problem???

Well, I went to the website and I would be a bounce! I do some landing page consulting as well as Google Adwords and the philosophy I work on is Keep It Simple Stupid. Some advice:
*As an Aussie having looked into similar concepts myself, I know you need a license to run a site like that (Tasmania is the easiest place to get a betting license although you could be a lottery or even a competition?) Make sure you are allowed to this before pushing ahead!

    Website advice:
The homepage needs some work. Add a paragraph explaining what the concept behind you site is. It is not very obvious on arrival. Then add a big button that says "Take the Tour" beneath the paragraph rather than hidden to the top right. Maybe consider including the menu on the left column.

The image "Welcome to Pro-Active..." should be used better. Why not "revolutionising the way you watch sport...", you know something that adds more than just a welcome.

There's lots of things but I have too little time, you can hire me if you want more advice lol But good luck and let me know about the legality of this...
