Post your website in Orkut, since it consists of millions of Indians,Also try sending mails to other Indian communities/forum for link exchanges and the benifit of it,hope this will help you
Indian Forums will definitely work becasue they will want to know what their fellow countryman are doing. Which is just like me. I always look at my fellow Singaporean website to see what they are doing and how well they are doing.
wouldn't it have been better if you have bought a .in domain name if your market is mainly india, or even a .com or .net?
In the short term, you can use PPC programs like Adwords but for long term , try link building and freshen up your content regularly.
i think you should start from very basic technique to advertise your website. Write some articles and post it to article directory. Besides, use your social networking features like friendster and myspace promote your site there. It's sound cheap but for a long term it very gud for you
If you are willing to invest then Google Adwords will be the best option. Make sure to target your ads to India and other countries that you are interested in. If you can't or don't want to invest money right now, then I suggest that you see my signature file for information on zero cost marketing strategies. Good Luck! Ivan
Really, wildstone? It's not advertising? It's not word of mouth? It's not networking? What is your url and the keywords you are under?
How long has your site been up? What kind of traffic are you getting now? I agree that PPC is the way to start, you have to "prime the pump" just to get your name out there. Use a visitor tracking method or your own servers database to learn what, if any, keywords people are finding you in the organic search with. The if those keywords are what your site is really about, include those in your PPC ads to connect with the people that are trying to find sites with those terms. Put some adsense on your site to see what Google thinks your page is really talking about. If thats not what youre trying to focus on, re-opt your pages for Google recognize your new intent, which will get you free visitors on the left side of Google. Do a Google search for some blogs related to your market, spend some time (free again) to write some articles about your category to help questions being asked, and provide a link back to your site. Two-fold purpose, now you'll have links back from everywhere helping with PR, and free links for others to click on and come visit you.
