google adwords. advertise on indian sites , look for good offers on adwords vouchers in the section for vouchers on DP. Since you are tv based , advertise on indian tv sites india-forums.com, discusstv.com , etc.
Hi, I also agree with google adwords. However I have also found running your advertising in free classifieds is also a great way to get poeple to a website, after all if you google "free classifieds" some 2 million or so comes up! starting posting adds and you soon will see the traffic.

try ads for indians, that website gives a lot of indian hits, you also have the free run for a week, and if you signup as a publisher then you can get a month advertising free, it is worth a try
if you are ready for some usefull paid traffic , i can drive the so much indian traffic ! as i have some indian groups in yahoo , msn and google . look at my sig.

I would specifically say that you must be ready to invest some money on advertisment.We all know that free advertisements are ther all over. Having said that, I would suggest you to concentrate on paid traffic initially.
G adwords and the other ads programs is always a good option but i prefer traffic from the search engines . you have to apply seo to your site and build many many backlinks this is my secret
