Hey, I have a new website (the one featured in my signature) and I have no idea what else I could do to promote the website. I've done the usual posting on forums, social bookmarking websites etc. but I'd like to promote it somewhere else. As it's a free quiz, I don't want to be spending lots of money, as I only receive minimal amounts of income from Google Adsense and I'd probably end up losing money. The plus side is that the websites been up for 2 days, and records indicate it's received 1,500+ unique visitors. How would I go about marketing my site, while keeping the costs down? Thankyou
Hello Matagascar , I strongly recommend you Social Networking Sites such as FaceBook , Hi5 or MySpace. I'm quite sure you will find many interested quiz takers. Good Luck Olgi
Twitter, Facebook, Hi5, Stumble Upon (Social networking sites), forums, commenting on other people's blog are all very effective in promoting your website. Good luck!
make a creative/funny video about your site and upload it to Youtube and as many other video sites as you can. you can use tubemogul.com to send it to a number of video sharing sites.
try on forum posting and directory submission. Can get 100 of directories and forums just do post on it and make back links
Facebook amd myspce get an aito friend adder on myspace an get thousands of friends then send out bulletins weekly or daily make a new facebook only for your website add as many friends as possible and write bulletins weekly also blog blog and blog write a blog about your site and comment on other peoples blogs
Craigslist can be good, but is usually very short lived as you can only post so many ads and flaggers will quickly take down anything that looks spammy. I still believe that video has more power to propell a website based business than anything else. Just its getting harder to think of something original that no one has done yet that will make it big. For ideas look at the Youtube all time favorites.
Add some good content to your website and then use a well crafted press release or two. Some press releases can go viral and bring an avalanche of traffic and buyers.
