How Do I Promote A Video Hosting Site

    I have created a video hosting site i wanted to know how to promote it,Ie where to get users to upload on my site and where to get the users.

    try getting backlinks and search engine placement, and have some friends upload so the site looks active

    Well, why don't you build links to your video site? Are you promoting on Facebook?
    What about Twitter?
    How about forum signatures?
