There was a post about this but I still dont understand. I know I need to change something in the templates folder but what file? Please give clear step by step instructions. The url is:

    http://www.chooseabstinence.org/forums/phpBB2/

I want ads in different positions on my forums.

I can't give you detailed instructions, but what I can tell you is that the board has a template file that will need to be changed. The way I would go about finding this is to look first in the admin section of the site to determine the correct one.
And short of finding some instructions, trial and error is most likely your best bet for getting things to position correctly.
I suggest backing up early and often!

well if you wanted the ad in the bottom like my forum collectionofsouls.com/forums, you would go to overall_footer.pbl (not sure about the extension). If you wanted to edit the subSilver template, you would go to templates/subsilver/overall_footer.pbl. Just open it in a text edit and copy and past where you want to google ad to show up. there are also mods you can install to automatically do this for you, as well as post the google ads in every post.

    Gave you positive rep!

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/aceman/public_html/forums/phpBB2/includes/template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 50

Why does it give me that when I use this:

<!-- BEGIN ADVERTISTIC CODE BLOCK -->

with my ad code? adbright works fine
