How do I perform manual updates of the Drupal core?

    How do I perform manual updates of the Drupal core?

    To a newbe like me, this sounds frightening. It seems like I have to take the sight down and reinstall everything and manage to put it all back.

    But it shows warning messages that I must do this update when I go into the dashboard.

    hello...... 1) you have to take backup for ur whole website ....
    2) you have to replace all drupal core files from new update files .... and you have to do it from cpanel .... its simple not too hard if you do properly...
