I wanted to just edit the letters on the logo to say "Citrus Tree Forum" on the attached psd file. Can anybody point me in the right direction...I'm using adobe photoshop. Thank you! http://www.citrustreeforum.com/citrustrees/tangerine/misc/header_mid_logo.gif
Select the text layer and change the text. If you cant do it you can email me the .psd file, I will change it for you. Thanks.
Also, the drop shadow may mean the text layer was rasterized. Rasterize meaning the text in the PSD file was changed from textual data into pixel data so you can add effects (such as blending/gradients/lighting) to it. If the text was rasterized I am not sure if there are any easy ways to edit it?
No way to Modify rasterized text. If blending option (drop shadow) applied to rasterized text the drop angle can be adjusted. Drop shadow can be applied to rasterized text. @ Davey Crocket : You can't edit the text if it is rasterized. If it is rasterized, ask your designer to send the file without rasterized text. Also you need to install the particular font used for the logo if you don't have.
hmm I only received the .gif file in the url above and this psd file which seems to cover the whole forum layout not just logo. Not sure if I should edit the gif file or this file here which is the psd file www.citrustreeforum.com/design.psd
You need to edit the psd file. If the font wasn't included, click on the text layer in photoshop and it should tell you which font is being used.
Yes, the previous users are correct. You'll need to make sure you have the same font as is being used (otherwise photoshop will use a different font when you edit it). If the text is flat and not editable, you'll need to create your own text and customize it to look like the flat version.
