I see many set up those proxy sites, so i would like to give it a try. Is it worth? Looks like it takes few minutes to setup freescript and thats it, main thing is marketing. How? And again is it worth to try?
does that mean you teach me something bad or you gonna offer your paid services. Reason im asking is why cant you post public
i had quite a decent proxy site, it was getting loads of traffic. what youll have to do is affiliate with all the big proxy sites. Get peaple talking about your proxy site ect.. Go on proxy forums ect... Hope this helps... Jason
setting up an "easy" site that hundreds of people have done before is likely not a way to make a lot of money, nor is it a productive use of your time unless you 1) already know how to market it and market it well or 2) can add something unique to the service to make yourself stand out from the rest. if you can't do either of the two, it's probably not worth your time. focus on something unique and your traffic and revenue will likely do a lot better.
yes it helped, but since i dont know much about proxy, what are those big proxy sites i should affiliate?
Topsites are a good way to market sites, you can add yourself at proxytopsite.com and webproxies.org. Also, go to http://www.proxybuilder.com - it has alot of extremely helpful advice on making the most of web proxies. It also lets you create a whole zipped up proxy site after filling in a simple form.
Sure topsites are excellent way to market site but only if they have enough visitors and send some traffic to your site. Always check "out" to see how many visitors does the site send to other sites. Good start will be probably with established proxy site. For example: http://www.proxyserverprivacy.com/proxy-web-sites/
although I've not worked in this particular niche (thank god), in my experience topsites give an advantage to one person and one person only-- the person running the topsite. here's how I get non-SE traffic: find related sites. mayb some almost identical to yours, maybe some a bit different. do a link exchange-- not the link exchange stuffed away on some page with 100 other links no one will check out, but a prominent link exchange. a link exchange for traffic, not search engines. quite often I offer a ROS text link for the same in return. that's enough to kickstart things if you provide a unique service. if you're not different than anyone else, you won't go too far.
I have a new site ww.proxyswap.com a proxy banner exchange, just signup and place a piece of code on your website or in the surfbar your users see and youll earn impressions which will allow you to get your banner shown on other peoples websites! Or you could just buy impressions so you dont have to stick the code on your site.
