I have set up a logo design service and I am wondering how do I start marketing it? As I start out I would like the marketing to be free and then start to spend money on it, do you have any ideas on how to do this? Thanks!
have you looked into the possibility of using eBay to advertise your service? You could then also use a site like elance.com I've used elance for my websites new logo and i thought it was great.
Get links on websites and blog posts on websites like myne wich is a pr5 but you can get other blog posts higer pr for larger ammounts of $$. This will promote your website.
Use adwords to advertise . exchange links with sites who offer print designs or other designs but not logo designs ..
You can try freelance websites to find some work there. Build yourself a nice profile. Do a nice job on the projects that you will win. You will gain a client base and a good reputation.
Find good blogs and forums with crappy logos and offer free re-design for a plug and a link. I would go after the 1 million "work from home" and "make a fortune blogging" sites because those readers believe in the importance of presentation and they often buy templates that are ready to go...except for adding their own logo.
selfstyledexpert gave a really good idea iwould start at the minimum with posting a link in your sig to your website that has your portfolio and cost.
