Hi...I am new to clickbank. Basically, I want to be able promote a product and get the reader to click on a link that looks like www.abc.com AND NOT www.abc.com/affilate=612etc... Does anyone know how I can imbed my affiliate link into the basic root domain...i think it would be much more profitable and the reader will be more likely to click on it...

you can make the "anchor text" anything you want as long as it points to the correct page.

I would also check out http://get-shorty.com. They provide a free tool for shortening links. Check it out!

Shortening your hoplink is one thing, it’s also better to hide it completely.
If you just change your anchor text and they click on it, your full hoplink will be shown.
Most people will avoid a hoplink, they will try to go to the real url, or even worse, exchange your nickname with theirs if they have one.
As a result you lose your commission.
You can find several solutions on the web.
I found a nice one in a free e-book, if anybody is interested, just let me know.
