Any idea how much it costs to download? Also, does it work on a PC or only on Apple computers ? (have a feeling only for Apple)
The SDK only works on Apple. It's free and quite easy to develop on. You'll have to go through a few steps to get access to the App Store but it's not that difficult and only costs $99. Also, you should buy an iPhone just to alpha test your user experience. The SDK comes with a simulator - however, it's not the same as seeing your app on the actual phone itself. Be careful of "outsourcing". You'll see how easy it is to develop on the iPhone platform - don't get ripped off. Good luck.
In case the idea of the game is outstanding and the game is simple - it can be done in a day, but of course you need some experience in development of such apps. Outsourcing is not that bad as it's sometimes thought of. I'd advise you to try.
