Hi everyone, I bought a DDL site recently out of impulse. Its got hacks and warez on it and links to lots of files submitted by users. It has between 3500 and 6000 unique users per day with about 2.5 pageviews each. I'm just wondering how to make money out of it. The previous owner placed adsense on each post but due to the content I don't think that would be a wise move for me to make. It uses PHP-Nuke by the way. I'm pretty new to this, I have only ever used adsense on my other 2 sites. Any suggestions? I won't give the URL as the site is still in the process of being transferred to me. Thanks in advance! It's very hard to make any kind of money with what is essentially a site with illegal content. The best thing you can do is go for the adult sites like so many others.
thanks. i have seen similiar sites on adbrite, so i guess they take them. maybe sell links or something but would love a cpm program or pop-unders..
Transfer the users from your warez site to a legit site and put the advertising on it. Transfer = put links banners and so on to your other legit sites.... Egomancer
seriously dont use pop unders, firstly most will be blocked, the ones that arent your viewers will go very quickly! cpm program would work niceley with those hits, or maybe use CPA with some affiliate related program?
I think affiliate marketing would work good on DDL sites. Referring users to adult websites or game websites for money would be a good bet. Check out: https://partners.skillground.com/af and http://www.waverevenue.com/ They work great
As it is warez, thats why i think popup services would be the best for you. Try some publishers like clicksor and paypopup who dont have hard TOS Regards
Make ad places on your site, main page (in header / footer) and add links that you sell for a nice price
Yes PayPopUp should be working great also pay per install programs... you could protect content with ActiveX.
