How do I make images like this in fireworks?

    You see the blue image for the background they use, how do you make these gloosy images in fireworks?

    Just do a gradient from the original colour to lighter/darker on the last say 12.5%

    As for a shine effect, no idea.

    That would be a gradient from the base colour, to the new colour, then back to the base colour. I can't see any shine on it, but that might be my eyes. Then, take a 1px selection of it at full height, repeat it using CSS, and you have your nice background!

    Yeh I see the gradient but it looks like they've put a gloss/glass effect and all teh tutorials I've read for fireworks only really work on text.
