How do I make a *.wmv file (or any video file) open a website automatically?

I downloaded a .wmv file off the internet that turned out that had an advertisement embedded in it for a certain website. At the end of the video the website was automatically opened up! THis was in windows media player, I tried the video in VLC and it didn't open it.

Still I would like to know how I can make a video file automatically open a link while played in Windows media player.

I'd like to recommend AVS Video Editor to you, I always use it to edit video and make funny video for uploading to Youtube, it's easy to use and the quality is awesome, you can crop, cut, join, edit video with it easily. It also embeds many special effects, you can even add text to video or add background music, that's pretty cool. It worth a try

Hope it helps. Contact me if you have any other question
