I am not sign up to MY service. I gave you an example. Read the post again. Aweber.com is the place to go if you want your own newsletter. You cant get things for free you know.

    Hi Audiomad,

Marketing Thug is correct here. Using a 3rd party like aweber is a good approach and you can get going almost straight away.

If you want to build your own registration system your hosting will need a database and a scripting language (eg MySQL and PHP)

Its not that hard to program if you have a little bit of experience. A quick Google search came up with the following.

http://mikebernat.com/index/a/article/id/Creating a Simple Registration Script using PHP

    Good luck :)

just to let you know...if you use your own and build a large list you will probably get spam complaints. major companies like aweber are in regular contact with the spam filtering people at places like yahoo/aol.

no reason to not use Aweber or GetResponse... otherwise you're asking for trouble with spam complaints

You can write a very simple PHP script that would store the email the person entered into a text field and then you can copy and paste all the email addresses into the receipents list on your news letter. Very easy to do and maintain.

TIP: Never use your own server or domain for email marketing.
I suggest you to simply use googlegroups or yahoo groups to send and create maillist.

But not so easy to send an e-mail that doesn't get blocked by their spamfilter.

Aweber.com is awesome, emails always get delivered, no problems at all.

Never build your own, when you can get better for a cheap price.
