How Do I know whether my site got indexed or not?

    Hi.

    I m new to SEO so.. please bare!:(
    I am talking about my directory website
    Ok, I have submitted Sitemap to Google, added URL to Google.. and its been 4 days. How do I know whether my directory website has been indexed or not?
    I heard this :
    site:mysite.com to check in Google Search bar( is this correct?)
    or are there any ways to find out?

    Just do a search for your site in Google without the www. and it will show you your linked pages and you will see your site if you ar indexed!!

    if your site shows in the results then it's indexed other wise it's still not indexed.
