How do I know how many backlinks my site has?

I have been searching for the perfect tool to check my backlinks but did not find any. backlinkwatch is good but it is showing me only 1st 1000 backlinks.

Yes but on yahoo you can only view the first 1000 and most of them are duplicates from sitewide links

 

If your website was added in google's webmaster, go and check your website's backlinks. But the most accurate result is produced in Yahoo, use such command "link:www.XXX.com" in yahoo's search box to check the backlinks.

Backlinkfinder.com, Backlinkwatch.com,linkdiagnosis.com/ and Google Webmaster tools

 

It's because Google will show only your strongest backlinks.
