    what script do you use?
for phpld, upload the template to website directory,
and login to the admin pannel,
select the template you want to use,
    it's so easy like wordpress.
let me know if you need more help.

When I downloaded the template, it looked like it was downloading all the basic files again, is that right?

I still don't see anything in the admin panel where you can select a template.

download the template, extract all files. upload all extracted files to "templates" folder overwriting existing files. upload main.css to root folder overwriting existing file. delete all files in "cache" folder.
