How do I increase my price from $5 to $7 for writing a good 500 word article in DP?

I believe the reason some of these writers are finding it hard to break out of the $5 article into the $10 or $20 article is because they are so used to getting paid peanuts and really do not want to lose a customer. A perfect example is the rise of the "dollar stores". If you go into a dollar store and everything in there is suddenly raised to 2 bucks then your going to leave. Well this is mainly because most of the stuff they have in there stores are only worth a buck or less. Now, you can buy the same product made by another company and the quality is a bit better. But, you don't mind paying 2 shillings for it because its worth it. Remember not all products are built alike, they just look that way. Quality is always going to bring in more revenue than junk. It just takes a bit for buyers to realize that. I personally hate shopping dollar stores.

The above comments above are correct. And use great analogies.

But maybe the person, wanting the information needs to be sold. The person needing the work is not completely confident in you. Sure a sample was given. But how does the sample alone prove to the person needing articles? That is how are you going to in 2 minutes convince him you are worth more?

I can get someone who has already paid $10.00 for an article, to throw it away. Then, before giving it to a writer, get him to pay $70 for 2 articles and 2 rewrites. How?

In my case, I did with my selling ability, explaining all the extra benefits and customers he will get, and how that will be accomplished.

Although today is not my best day (health), I managed to finish the 2nd of two proof pages. You include them to the client, to wrap up your case. The first is on the benefits of SEO article writing, and the 2nd one, just completed, explains how your article is structured different to drive more visitors to the site.

Both PROVE why you are better. What moves you factually from good to professional. If the person, does not believe in proof, you say no. You have plenty that will say yes.

Anyways, i need some advice. In this forum, i notice that you keep telling Annie to prove herself. I understand that she is able to do that considering that she already has clients, but do you guys have any suggestions on how to get your first job on DP, without offering a price that is too low?
because i don't want to get started on a price that i will have a hard time raising afterwards.
