How Do I Improve My Quality Score??

    Hi,

Ive got my first online product up and running on Clickbank and Adwords. Its meant to be a learning exercise, Im not really expecting to make any money from it since its my first attempt - I have another product (in a completely different niche) I am developing that I am hoping to do quite well out of and I want to get things right before going public with it.... Though it would be nice to make a few sales from this one to cover my costs.

    My question is:

How can I get a better QS? Currently I am getting 7/10 for my best keywords, which is "OK".... but how to get higher? My main keyword is "happy marriage" and I am averaging 15c per click and about 200 clicks per day from a small selection of about 15 keywords, which seems respectable to me as a newbie.

My landing page is "the-happy-marriage.com" and I have used "happy marriage" in the page title, H1 tags, lots of image alt tags and all through the text.

What more does it take to get a higher QS? What is missing??

    the-happy-marriage.com

    Best regards,
    Owl

P.S. Any other comments or criticism of the page would also be appreciated. I am aware there are a few important things missing, like testimonials, free extra bonus items, opt-in email capture, etc.

Are you including the main keywords in your ad? It is worthwhile using the keyword insertion tool as this makes sure the keyword is included in the ad 90% of the time.

Good point, thanks - i forgot to mention that. The answer is yes

    Happy Marriage Secrets
A Happy Marriage Now And Forever
Get Back Your Happy Marriage Today!

    The-Happy-Marriage.com

So the keyword is in every line of the ad (which I thought would give the highest relevancy evaluation).... ?

    7 ain't a bad start anyway.
There is anecdotal evidence of Google not giving great QS to long landing pages - BUT I have not seen this myself so wouldn't want to say it for sure.

Have you looked at the details and recommendations for your keywords, something like this would be great:

Keyword Relevance - No problems found.
Landing Page - No problems found.
Landing Page Load Time - No problems found. Load time is faster than the average in your server's geographic region.

yeah there are 10 keywords with "OK" and QS from 5/10 to 7/10, all the ones I checked (about half of them at random) say No problems, and load time faster than average, exactly like what you have posted above

i noticed on another site for organic search (not adwords) that when i was no 2 in google Australia for it ("self sufficiency") the only person above me had a hugely long page with the keyword repeated a trillion times within it - and I was thinking of that when I did this page - but perhaps the rules are completely different than for Adwords??

if i delete (or pause??) the keywords with Poor QS (say <5), will that mean Google will rate the whole campaign as more relevant and therefore give me cheaper bid prices?

Organic & AdWords algos will be radically different - many different trigger points for both. Again just an opinion!

Removing the keywords with low QS should improve account history but most probably not indivdual keyword QS.
