    As stated, build your backlinks. Make sure to do it smart though; not to fast and only within your niche.

    You need links from pages with high PR then your PR will improve fast.

    do a pagerankdance.

    it's like a mix between a googledance and a raindance.

    and just like pagerank itself, it won't really help you get high in the SERPs! ;)

    if all you're concerned about is PR, you can go as fast as you want, really.

    of course it'll affect things like trust and sandboxing, but apparently the OP just wants info on the all important pagerank ;)

    DP's homepage might be PR7. Your sig doesn't go on the DP homepage, it goes on the individual posts. What's the highest PR thread you see?

    pagerank is page to page, not site to site. DP being PR7 does not mean most threads you post in will be anything near that-- they're be very, very low. and the PR juice will be split with all of the other links on that page

    I know that, and you know that... the problem is that people keep repeating it not knowing what the connection is. I am guessing that since he mentioned both items as separate issues that he might not know.

    regular content keeps you on top of searche engines bringing you more visitors that if they like you site will start promoting you site for free meaning more free back links = higher PR
