How Do I Improve My Alexa Rankings?

I'va had my site up about 6 months, and I'm on the first page frequently in the organic Google Search. However, my Alexa rank is just under 200k. I need to improve. I do have a lot of links.

 

Wrong forum, this is absolutely nothing to do with SEO.

Why are you interested in improving your alexa ranking? Concentrate on improving your number of backlinks, serps positions, traffic, pages of content, or something else of value. Alexa rank is worthless.

 

You don't want to improve your alexa rank. It's not important.

It's not about your alexa rank but about how many happy visitors you get and imho the alexa rank is not the way to measure that.

 

I agree with the comments above. Alexa ranking is very unimportant. Traffic and sales are. Alexa ranking is nothing more than a number that can be used for bragging rights.

 

If you want to enhance your web traffic then start doing off page optimization and also check on page optimization is done.
If you want to know more read blog by matt cutt or googlegenie blog.

 

Google has about 70% of the search engine market, Yahoo and MSN share about 20-25%, so why would you care about Alexa rankings?

To improve alexa ranking of your website, use your website's link in the signature in the forums like the digital point and other webmaster forums. If you have webmaster/seo related website then you will get good advantage. Also add your website in social networking websites.

 

i think improve your SERP Alexa ranking also improved.

 

don't you waste of time, improve your back links and SERP ranking..

I think Alexa ranking is all about traffic, nothing else.
Just get more traffic.. even fake traffic will increase your Alexa ranking, yea I tested.

I think you concentrate your site promote and you do regularly maintain seo procedures for your site, if your site page rank is good, traffic is good It's good effect on alexa ranking. Be patience..

 

If you are on the first page of Google SERPs then I would say "Stop bothering about Alexa". You should be attracting a decent amount of traffic so why bother with Alexa rankings. As it is, Alexa collects data from Alexa toolbar, not every one has it so the data will be skewed anyways.

 

Do something to get traffic by purchasing real traffic, article submission etc.

Why do you care so much?

If you just want to do that to "look good", then just go out there and purrchase some junk traffic from those "alexa booster websites" You tend to be able to get around 10,000 unqiues in just a matter of days with just $10, but the traffic just plain suck. Only 8 people subscribed. 0 clicked on the ads. However, I did get a 40,000 alexa rank.

 

You should had good ranking in SE, so your Alexa ranking will higher..
