How do I get Yahoo to index my site?

I used webmaster tools for google to index www.no-lag.com and use my sitemap to get all of it but how can I do the same for Yahoo?

Im also finding it hard for yahoo to index my websites. Google seems to be much quicker, is yahoo more fussy or something?

 

You can get indexed by Yahoo. Just write a bunch of stuff about Yahoo. It loves to know what people are saying about it. Remember even though Yahoo may have spidered your site it doesn't mean it will show in results immediately. I think Yahoo takes much longer to do that than Google. Even though Yahoo will show more inbound links that Google will. A good tip for fast Yahoo indexing is to get some good anchor text links spread out via the Yahoo groups.

About how long does it take them to index, on average? My blog is indexed in pretty much all the major search engines except Yahoo and it's really frustrating. I find it odd since my Squidoo lenses tend to get indexed there very quickly.

But I will definitely try Yahoo Groups, thanks!

Submit url in ://siteexplorer dot search dot yahoo dot com/submit
and try some free submission like submitexpress

 

I agree with what you said. So, if you are going to focus in yahoo. You should be patient for waiting the result of your work. That's why I'm more on focusing Google.

 

You can add your site at "Yahoo Site Explorer" but you have to login first using your yahoo account then add your site at "Add My Sites". You can then verify them as your site. That will make your site easily to crawl by yahoo.

 

Indexing in google, I think it takes only 2 days to index in google and after indexing in google next job is to get high ranking in google for that special keyword.

Regarding Yahoo, yahoo takes more than months to index in their yahoo search engine because I have faced the problem with yahoo. To get more high ranking you have to bring more backlinks from their yahoo pages like groups bookmarks and so on.

To start with search engine you have to start with google understand playing around with google and than you go for next other search engines

You can submit in siteexplorer or yahoo automatic get you from backlinks

 

Submit your URL in yahoo and try to get as many backlinks as you can...You can also submit directories to get the indexed pages in yahoo.

Try yahoo sitexplorer and wait for some while. Your blog/site will surely get indexed.

First of all, you must understand that yahoo is still slow in indexing pages compared to Google. So all you have to do is to wait for getting your pages indexed.

As the dude above said, Google is faster than Yahoo! on indexing pages. Generate backlinks, that's the best think you could do while waiting.

 

Submit sitemap to yahoo and your site should get indexed fast.
