How do I get Traffic???

Some basic tips for free traffic:

1. make sure your on-page SEO is as good as you can get it. You will find tips & advice in this forum as well as others (use the search function)

2. Turn your content subjects into articles (having completed some basic keyword research for the title and content) and post onto the top article directories (you will find lists on here)

3. Put out press releases with free (or paid) press release sites

4. Create a short video about your site or the subject of your site (using Powerpoint and Windows movie Maker if you do not have access to better tools) and upload it with different keyword titles to different accounts in the major video sites with a strong call to action to visit your site.

5. Use the signature facility in the fora you belong to.

6. Approach blog owners with subjects related to your site and offer to write a guest post with a link back to your site.

7. Comment (don't spam) usefully on blog posts related to your site's content.

Pay per click is a great way to get started but SEO is better in the long term.

Members have already said it. Google AdWords, article submission to directories, joining social networking site's groups and paying for ads can be helpful.

In order to get traffic to your site, make sure to build backlinks to your site that are diverse and relevant to your content. Google will take notice and you will notice your site raise in the rankings.

 

I use Google Adwords but i believe google adsense do not allow with Google Adwords.

Getting traffic mainly just depends on the timing and the technique. These are all great ideas, though. Besides beefing up your site's SEO to get more traffic straight from google, try to make your page titles or content specifically match some keywords that people who look for something similar will type into a search engine. This will naturally help people find your site who are looking for whatever it provides. And going viral anyway you can will help. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube and any other way to get exposure over a larger audiance will get you more traffic. All that, and of course, father time will get your site cranking.

 

Just give it time, your sandbox until Google (it will take several months). For me personally, I never "SEO'ed" What I have MSN and Yahoo ranking is quite high. Go figure.
