Ive started a site that is a directory of tutorials from accross the web. How do I get people to submit content? http://www.yourtutes.com Ive started off with a few photoshop tutorials but will add anything thats interesting so if anyone has any ideas please feel free to comment (good or bad) Thanks
Hi Ging, For any site like yours, you need to create some sort of incentive to get people to submit their content. For example, people post their content to top article/SE directories (etc) because they know it will bring them benefits via traffic/SE benefits. If you're a newer, smaller site you may not be able to offer people that so you'll need to think about what incentives you can offer. A monthly prize for the best submission/most views for example. Good luck
post a youtube video asking if people will contribute to your site. Let them know hat it is ok for them to mention their website at the end of their tutorial, and any smart business owner would or should jump at the opportunity to help you out and promote their site at the same time
Pay one dollar for each tutorial article submitted. Give free banner advertising for each submittal Just a couple Ideas Good Pluck
Have a monthly contest for cash. That will create buzz and get people going to your site to submit content. It will cost money, of course, but you're going to spend either time or money if you try to get traffic in any form.
I didn't see any articles submitted by others except yourself "admin". Maybe you can attract people by allowing them to put their links at each article or maybe consider deeplinks with dofollow. That is up to you to decide.
