The easiest way to get people to your site?

    Money.

Of course, you are asking this question is because you want to make money in the first place. So what are your options then?

    1. Take several months to learn to write well
    2. Over 5 or more years, develop an understanding of how content is consumed on the Internet
    3. Read books, the Internet, other people's content to educate yourself about a subject
    4. Create a website with a good, simple layout where you will put your content on.
    5. Start writing articles, stories, anything that is rich in informational value. (No, that does not mean stuffing them with pointless "keywords")
    6. Add links to whatever is popular right now to each article: Facebook share links, for example.
    7. Do research every day, learn something new. Write about it.
    8. Install analytics to understand how traffic to your website works... use these insights to improve traffic flow to your website.
    9. Constantly see what you can improve about existing content. Pay attention to visitor comments, and make appropriate improvements.
    10. Be focused, systematic, authentic and long-term minded. (As opposed to: scatter-minded, random, cliche and wanting to earn money over night)

    Good luck.

Now that you have a website up and running you want to do 2 things.

    1) Pump out lots and lots of unique content. The more content you have the better chance you will have for ranking for long-tail keywords.
    2) Get as many quality backlinks as you can. Do lots of reciprocal linking, write articles to article directories and link back to your website. Write unique and high quality content and people will start linking to you.

You could write a book on how to rank high in search engines. If I were you I would start researching some key concepts like long-tail keywords and how to build backlinks.

It's not that difficult to start generating traffic from search engines. It takes a few weeks to learn how to get traffic but it takes a lifetime to master SEO.
