How do I get on Google news ?

Hi I own www.ps3center.net . We currently redesigned the website and are getting it ready for the PS3 launch in 1 month. I just hired a new writer and we started flooding the website with ps3 news. A couple of months ago I applied to Google news, however I got rejected. Maybe the quality of the content wasnt good enough. Anyways I`ll be reapplying before the ps3 launch and I NEED to be approved. Does anyone have any pointers, tips, etc? Anything I should know about? All our news content is unique. thx

    http://news.google.com/

At the very bottom of the page... 'For Publishers'. :D

If that doesn't get you in, nothing will.

on prweb they say that for $119 you get this :

    -Same Day Distribution *
    -PRWeb® and eMediawire™ Distribution
    -Images and Multimedia File Attachments

-Guaranteed "Page One " Placement on PRWEB.COM
    -RSS/XML/OPLM/NewsML Inclusion
    -Paid Search Engine Inclusion (Overture)

-Google News®, Yahoo!® News & MSN News Inclusion
    -Up to 10 Industry Targets
    -Quick Statistics

    http://www.prwebdirect.com/catalog.php

now when they say Google news, yahoo news and msn news inclusion .. do they mean that they`ll get my website as a news source for them ? Or they`ll use my articles and filter them through theyre website to get on google news etc?

Your article will come PRweb release
But you will enter into yahoo/google etc

For yahoo , PRweb requires your article have atleast a score of 4 out of 5

dont use "same day distribution", i always point out little bit of error in my releases the next day when i preview them,

You see, they're actually looking for US news sites and also sites with high PageRank. Maybe there can be an exception but I don't really believe it will happen.

ok so i got rejected for the 3rd time

this is what they wrote :

    "Hi Michal,

Thank you for your note. We've reviewed http://www.ps3center.net and are unable to include it in Google News. We currently only include articles from sources that could be considered news organizations, generally characterized by multiple writers and editors, availability of organizational information, and accessible contact information. When we reviewed your site we weren't able to find this evidence of an organization.

We appreciate your willingness to provide your articles to us, and we'll log your site for future consideration.

Thank you for your interest in Google News.

    Regards,
    The Google Team"

I replied to them with a last attempt .. but I dont know what to do anymore! I gave the website the most pro look I can think of by redesigning it. I have 3 writers which do a great job covering all the possible ps3 news.

Maybe it's time to "Move on". Lots of websites aren't in Google news, and they do just fine.

not to put a damper on your asperations, but over the last month, I've seen quality looking and quality content sites be refused from google news, yes even one of mine. I dont know if they are putting a freeze on accepting sites or not, but I got my first two in with ease, now quality ones are not getting accepted...

It`s true .. I know ps3center.net has the potential to do very well without Google News, however I want it to be known as a valuable news source. Getting into Google news would help the websites traffic alot.

As for quality sites not getting in ... I dont know anymore. Either the editor simply didnt "like" my site .. or there is really an unorganization problem

If ya have multiple authors, quality news, visible contact info, and an eye pleasing site, then just chalk it up to the loss column and move on. Friend of mine has tried like 5 times with one quality site and has not got in. On the other hand, there are a lot of gaming type sites already included in the news crawl.
