How do I get my site to look like these? (xpost:web design)

I am planning on hiring a website designer to create a simple product sales page with FAQ, Contact, etc. I posted this in the web design forum, as well, but I think it pertains to graphics as well.

Based on these websites I like, what kind of designer with what kind of knowledge and experience should I be asking for?

    Sites I like:

    http://www.ego-app.com
    http://www.letsfreckle.com
    http://www.ideapaint.com

I like the simplicity, large font, and "woven" look and feel to these websites. I don't necessarily need anything as complex as these sites--I just want to duplicate the clean/woven look!

So my question is, is there a specific kind of programming language expertise I should request in the job offer? I want to know what to skills to request in the job offer. Or are these just plain HTML sites made by really good designers?

They all look really simple - all of that can be done with straight CSS. No fancy coding skills needed.

sorry didnt answe the original question, there is a bit of graphics, html, js and flash going on here... all sites differ in skill... BUT most web designers would be more than happy to sort ... me included.
