Use the Title tag and description tag in Google Place info. Also utilize the additional details fields to put in relevant keywords in it. But please note that repetition of keyword can potentially results in banned listing. play wisely :)

If you did all things of keyword listed in your local business then after that there are a few simple things you can do to help yourself rank better in Google Maps. The first and most important of these is to claim, verify and update your listing(s) there. A listing that has been verified by the business owner gives Google Maps a very high level of trust in the information that they have about you, which, in turn, helps you to rank better in their algorithm.

Not only that...your listing must be complete (100%) with all the possible data you could give...tht would help your ranking in the SERP as well...my question is...does the Tag that you can add to the listing any good?? does it help ranking or atleast attract traffic....coz end of the day tht matters most!!!

I've not added a tag as yet...have any of you done it and have you seen any results because of it???

Yes, $25 tags attract and gives you better chance on showing up - at least for now when google tries to make money on it. But once everybody starts buying these tags they will loose relevance. But for now they count a little. Make sure your business has good reviews from different sources. Must be 100% complete and have all keywords in it. Also, use custom categories.

One thing that is very important is to make sure your listing is 100% complete , sometimes if you have missed some of the items that you have to enter Google will say it 85% complete you will rank lower than others. Also address and phone number on Footer for on page seo is a must for local

First off you have like 10 listings that are all supposedly at that exact address. You need to clarify that using suite numbers if you are in charge of them. Get pics and videos, syndicate them, do citations, check googles guidelines for any red flags you may have. Use this for help if you need it: http://www.trafixs.com/Build-a-Google-Places-Listing-Trafixs-Tut.pdf
