You cannot edit the entry yourself.

Maybe you can try to send an email to them asking for the change.

Visit the category where it's listed and use the update URL link at the top of the page. DMOX 2.0 is currently being rolled out so the link might be temporarily disabled.

Avoid requesting a change that doesn't conform with our guidelines.

Alternatively, you may reconsider your desire to bother with re-writing your description, since only editors will ever see it.

No one uses ODP anymore, except a few stalwart link-listers ("editors") showing up once in a wall to dust a few things.

There is also no SEO value to your description. The link text has to be the website title - this rule is immutable.

Getting listed in DMOZ is a dream come true for most site owners. You can try sending an email and wait till eternity for a reply

Fraid that's right. You are making a suggestion when you suggest a site, but what did you email asking? Can you list my site before the others? Will you give special consideration to my site? My site is better than the competition? When will my site be listed?
That just about covers most of the ones I get and don't reply to, come to think of it it covers most of the ones I get stop.
Please remember we are NOT a LISTING service for site owners. We build categories for people who want to use collated, categorised sites for searching the internet. For more information read the sticky at the top.

Erm, you really gotta start reading posts in the context of the threads here. My best guess as to the subject of such an email would pretty much equate to the title of the thread... something you likely missed on your way to uphold what you think is right.

Don't know also if you have an access to edit your entry but if it's applicable, make sure that you follow their rules because they will delete your site if it does not follow their TOS.

Go to resource-zone.com forum and ask the Administrators for it. That will help.

That's rather a lot of wasted effort when the right answer is already in post 6 of this thread.

The suggestion you provided does not work. I am reporting about few for years, but yet no change. I think the DMOZ software has many bugs to be fixed.

Editors do not undertake to simply alter things that webmasters don't like, did you notice Jim talked about changes that are within DMOZ guidelines.

I think you have ego problem. You are not even understanding what others are saying.

I said, accordingly in other posts too: I suggested update, for the site which I do not own nor I designed.

Now you are saying: .. simply alter things that webmasters don't like

Where you have found me as the webmaster of the suggested sites? Please try to listen what are being said, instead of repeating your oldie staff.

Don't worry about him... he posts Anonymously because he is NOT here to help anyone. He is pretty much here to bash webmasters... which is a VERY strange thing for a reverend to do, I'd assume...
