How do I get more traffic for my proxy?

I started my first proxy site about 4-5 days ago.

I submitted it to over 120 Proxy Topsites. Got a bolded listing at proxy.org. I've not been getting good traffic though. Only about 70-80 uniques a day.

How do I get more traffic for my proxy? I'm looking to get like, 400-500 uniques a day at least by the end of this week. Any suggestions greatly appreciated and will be repped .

I would suggest not having your proxy on Proxy.org now if you're running adsense, or take down adsense as a lot if not all proxy owners on that site are getting emails from Google for "invalid clicks". There seems to be some sort or botnet program that must have been created by someone who is trying to get rid of the competition out there

 

Initially, proxy top sites will not send you any traffic at all, they are just there to increase back links to your website. You will only ever get traffic from a proxy topsite is when you appear on their homepage.

What you should do is work on SEO of your website, target small keywords then work on the big ones. Use inventory.overture.com/ if you're unsure which keywords to target. Do link exchanges with other proxy websites, submit to social networking websites and hopefully you should get traffic from search engines.

For long term traffic you need SEO.

You could also try advertising on myspace resource sites or on good arcade sites. They might get you some people who want to surf at school or work.
