    just ask here

    you may get some answers

and also to be listed in Dmoz you should bribe the editor there

Since the ability to suggest a site is out of commission, the only way to get listed is to get an editor to add your site directly. If you know the right person, this is probably very easy. If you don't it is probably very hard.

It's not nice to be mean to newbies.

Offering a bribe to an editor is the key to getting the site you're offering a bribe for, and every site you are related to, banned from the Open Directory Project.

What do want to get listed? I've been listed for several general websites, but never got a listing for my tech blog or any locale specific sites

I would never submit my site to Dmoz the worlds corrupt directory

Though I have not heard about any corrupt editors a lot of people in forums

    I visit
tell that Dmoz is generally corrupt!

My text is based on that

I think a date would come definitely that would see the end of Dmoz as it is the worth ever directory I have ever seen in content and in quantity

While there may be some corrupt editors, I'm sure it's still decent for the most part. I've had a number of good sites listed, and I've never bribed anyone!

My directory meaning where I have permission to edit? Well then, that's the entire directory. Do not offer bribes to be listed in any part of the ODP.

are you saying that none of the editors accept bribes!

You may be a honest person but others are not honest as you and most of the ditors do not know there is a forum for ODP editors

I'm positive that an editor has solicited and/or accepted bribes - I've seen them booted for it.

What I'm saying is don't do it and don't encourage it, it's wrong to do either.

Any project that has had over 74,000 participants pass through the door is bound to have some that are less than honest. That does not and should not brand everyone who has or is currently working on the project as dishonest. Give me a break.

Is the 'suggest a URL' feature not working for anyone else right now?

Yep, there is enough of corruption paranoia inside DMOZ no need to add more from outside. :D
