    Hi DP'ers,

For those of you more familiar with website coding/design than me...

How do I build a website that has a look and feel like this one: http://www.the//////////resumator.com/? (of course without the ////// in the middle)

Is this based on the typical PHP/CSS? Or if it on something other like Ruby?

    THanks!

    HAHAHAHA.... Are you serious?.....

    @OP.....

It is probably either php or ruby...

Nicely done app I must say... I've used it with a client campaign on a previous occasion...

    Cheers!~

We know that you can "design" the site ==> OP WAS ASKING WHAT THE SITE WAS RUNNING ON, NOT HOW TO DESIGN OR CREATE FRONT END MARKUP..

P.S. - in Photoshop, NO ONE should ever "save for web & devices" - code it by hand, the right way!

Now I see why rates are so low at DP. Thanks for pointing out. Ha ha. just kiddin. You should be AVOIDING that procedure. Why? That won't give you standard, optimized code.

Well it got off-topic. But when you say site like this, what do you exactly mean? The design or the coding (like the php script or whatever it is made of)

Is a simple template, can be coded in html and css without images.
If you don't know how to code and want to learn.

I have created a few tutorials in my blog, "ho to create a web design from a paper in html".
If you want to learn HTML and CSS for free and in a few hours. Take a look : http://tutorials.iulzi.com

Every website is done with (X)HTML and CSS. How the (X)HTML is generated, through a scripting language like PHP or ASP.NET, is another part.

Haha, my 3 friends radiant_luv, drhowarddrfine and workingsmart in motion :D

The rates here are so low because here are nearly no professionals in coding websites/webapps. They do not even make a market analyisis before "crying" for help.

Using PS or DreamWeaver and slicing can be done by 9 year old kids... that's in NO way professional.

Professional sites are not done in a hurry, my students portal took me 7 months from planning to putting it online (I did planning, front-end and another one did the back-end).

Hand-coded and optimized sites are worth more then $100.

My rate is 45 EURO per hour... just to mention it.
