Hey guys, Just letting you know that I have taken a lot of what you have said on board and the forum is starting to grow. I haven't had to do any fake posts yet but I'm wondering what your thought are on contributing to the discussion, as the forum owner. Obviously I have an interest in Australian Travel, but would it be seen as hogging the board if I get too involved? I noticed that the owner of this forum, Shawn, posts quite a bit and I think that is quite cool to be able to interact with the creator of the community..
try buying site targeted Google Adwords Ads on the larger Australian web portals and international travel sites - track results and keep the ones that send you cheap traffic hope it helps
There are two sites which help out with forums. The first one is The Admin Zone and the other is Admin Fusion. These two forums are great and have helped me make a great forum.
Thank you, I will definitely be doing this and weeding out keywords that don't convert into registrations. Thanks! These are amazing resources and I didn't even know they existed! Good stuff.
I found the articles on this site to be quite helpful. http://www.communityspark.com/category/forum-development/
