Try something called amino acid pill things, you take it like once a month or something depends on what it says.... and it basically makes you more hungry.. My friend is a weight lifter and he's been taking it, he's gained a lot of weight...

Btw it's perfectly legal.... Not steroids..

Amino Acids are what makes up protein.............................
You are not going to gain weight from just taking them, they can help with recovery from working out. Repairing damaged muscle tissue.

You also take them multiple times throughout the day not once a month.

6-7 times a day can help lose weight, unless he's eating huge portions each time.

Up you calorie intake, and eat 6+ meals per day, but make sure its 'clean' food like chicken, fish, fruit & veg, oatmeal, etc.

Could always take supplements, but get your diet sorted first, its by far the most important thing.

Eat proper bakery stuff like butter Croissant and eat 3 times meal. Your best bet is to join a gym and do some weight training and you will start feeling like eating whole earth. ;)

    How old are you?

If you try and eat 3-4000 calories a day, and keep you protein levels high (beans, red meat etc) - this will cause weight gain. Also if you can, try and begin to lift weights, this will accelerate weight gain (muscle).

Don't just eat junk food, as that'll lead to an unbalanced diet which may lead to heart and/or blood problems later on.

#1 everyones calories needs are different, 3-4,000 calories might be under his maintenance level. You can not just throw figures out like that.

#2 He needs his diet in check before he even attempts lifting, otherwise it could do the exact oppossite and he could lose weight/muscle.

Under? Unlikely.. 3-4000 would be plenty for him at a youngish age (under 18) - assuming he's that age, maybe a bit more. If he's older, then 3-4000 is more than enough.

Light lifting he'd be fine - he shouldn't be lifting heavy weights to begin with diet or not.

Eh, seems these days when I go to the store everything seems to be fat free/low calorie. Some people forget that not EVERYONE is on a diet. Might make it a bit harder if you're trying to GAIN weight.

Anyway, take in more calories than you burn - maybe eat more often. Snack all day.

Or do what everyone else does and live off of McDonalds and sit on your ass all day watching tv.

You have no idea on his maintenance level, some little guys need to eat 5k or more calories w/o losing weight.

If he's not getting enough calories he will LOSE muscle, you can not gain muscle w/o enough calories.

Dont eat many times a day like they say here. Try to eat 2 BIG meals a day instead of many small, that should make you fatter.

Your metabolism is in great shape, it burns all the fat. If you don't have an eating disorder and you eat at least 3 times a day + a few snacks here and there, then you have nothing to worry about. Do not force your body to do anything it does not need. The only option you have, is go to gym and gain some muscle weight. Otherwise, you will have to wait until your metabolism slows down (usually at the age of 25-30)

    Good luck
