IMO The best method is modifying the .htaccess file using a 301 redirection.
Go to Apache Redirection for more info.

If you can't change that file on blogspot, you can use a HTML redirection. Hrere you'll find one example of HTML redirection.

Well, I've checked that blogspot is using apache, so they have .htaccess.
But at least can you tell us if you can change the listofmmorpgs.blogspot.com/.htaccess file ?

Go to your blogspot account in settings and publishing and you will see this:

    You're publishing on blogspot.com

Switch to: • Custom Domain (Point your own registered domain name to your blog)

Hint: If you want to publish to an external FTP server, you will need to Set 'Blog Readers' to 'Anybody' and use a Classic Template.

You choose what you want and after that you have just to set up your registered domain-assuming you already have one; You don t need any host.

    Good luck.

    well thats a domain forwarding.
You can use this feature with domains (e.g. mysite.com) or subdomains (e.g. name.mysite.com). However, you cannot specify subdirectories (e.g. mysite.com/blog/) or wildcards (e.g. *.mysite.com).

    badprg,

i tried doing the same thing but later gave up. Let me tell you the whole story.

    1) blogspot DOES NOT provide your htaccess file so 301 re-direct is not possible.
    2) You can still use custom domain like w*w.abc.com and re-direct your site to blogspot. All your pages will start looking like w*w.abc.com/page.htm instead of hxxp://abc.blogspot.com/page.htm
    3) However you will loose all the backlinks and Pagerank (if any). so it will effect your search engine rank and traffic.

The only way out is to also have FTP hosting and start publishing your blog from external FTP servers controlled by you. Then you can use wordpress on that server, import all your post, keep blogspot domain, but when people type in blog url they will go to wxw.abc.com and also your serach engine & PR ranking is kept intact.

Hope that helps. I didn't bother to switch coz it's too tedious for me.
