Here is an example: Correct Paragraph Sentance1 Sentance2 Sentance3 <line break> Sentance1 Sentance2 Sentance3 Paragraph run-on Sentance1 Sentance2 Sentance3 Sentance1 Sentance2 Sentance3 in other words, there seems to be no proper carriage return between paragraphs; when I view the blog, the text is nothing more then just one giant cluster paragraph; they are not separated. anyone know how i can fix this... Think it has something to do with css/margins, etc... Thanks
Not enough information. Where's the site? What theme? What browser? What does the text look like in the text editor (not the visual one)? Are you getting paras or line breaks in the HTML?
in the editor, I have to separate the paragraphs by several spaces for it to look right on the blog.... If I were to copy a normal article with normal separate paragraphs into the text/visual editor, then the editor text looks normal, but the display on the blog will be just one giant unformatted article, so if i were to copy/paste a 5 paragraph article in the text editor, then it would look as it should, when I save, it looks as it should, when I look at the blog it self, then all the text is just one giant cluster paragraph.
As I said: Telling us what it looks like in the visual editor is no help at all, I'm afraid. It sounds like your theme CSS has messed with the definitions of <p> and <br>, but it's hard to tell without any information.
You simply just described the same problem in another way.... What happens if you have 5 paragraphs, and you remove <P>? the outcome is the same; one giant paragraph that would not be separated. I already stated that it was most likely css issue. most likely something is wrong in style-reset.css or style.css I am not a coder, but I would guess that it would have something to do with margin, or anything that may separate paragraphs.... if you have anything specific that I need to display from css files then I would be more then happy to post that....
You already did on one site, remember, but that same flx on another site does not appear to have any affect on the paragraph separation... does this come to mind?
Heh. I sorta remember but not really. I goet lots of pm's to answer stuff around here. I have like 5 emails from folks pinging me off list to answer questions. I have been here entirely too long to remember everyone lol... sorry. Do I have you on skype? I certainly remember you in particular. PM me your skype if so. I am happy to take a look. Nigel
That's what happens when someone asks a bunch of questions and you don't answer any of them or provide any of the info they need to help. Kinda like blindfolding us, then expecting us to lead you somewhere. Looks like Nigel will sort it out, anyway.
