How do i find out....

    Where a domain was registered?

    I relative of mine bought a domain and his hosting account is now down. The server is dead. But he can't remember who has his domain. Obvsiouly, he needs to get into that to change the nameservers.

    I tried WHOIS http://www.whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=aceinstructor&tld=com

    But it doesnt say.

    it doesn't say? the whois has always given me registrar and nameservers etc. maybe internic

    isn't it tucows.com? I see that at the bottom of the page. Also netsol whois says tucows is the registrar
