How do I find out who banned me?

I am now able to post after being banned for several months. The reason was apparently "Duplicate Account".

    Profile Infraction Oct 6th 2008
2:13 pm Expired 10 Duplicate Account

However, I never did have a duplicate account.

While I was banned, I sent email after email to Digital Point. I eventually sent emails to all of the contact addresses listed on the site, and I asked again and again - but I never got a reply.

I would like to know who banned me so that I can take it up with them.

It is very unfair to be banned for several months for no reason.

I emphatically deny having multiple accounts.

Sorry to hear that. Don’t know why that happened to you! By the way, I think you cannot find out the person. But you may get your a/c back if you can prove the actual cause.

Well you are unbanned now. So why not just leave it at that? No point and going and starting anything with the mods - you have nothing to gain by it.

I wouldn't return if I got banned. You invest time and knowledge to this site, if your contributions are not appreciated, it's time to move on. That's what I would do. Might as well invest that time towards the growth of something that matters to you, or move on to another board. I'm sure there are webmasters who would appreciate active posters.

I'm sure you would be pissed off too if you had been banned for many months and never created a duplicate account.

I agree, I would be. But what's going to happen when he messages them though? The MOST he'll get is a "sorry, it was a mistake."

Me also feel sorry to hear that. Although it's unfair, but I guess there's nothing much you can do about it.

Which mod banned you is irrelevant. I just checked the usernotes they left on your ban, and it was absolutely justified. We look at a lot of factors when determining duplicate accounts. Yours had two very big strikes against it (we don't share the exact reasons, as we don't want would-be multiple account holders knowing what to avoid to get away with it).
