Just check it with any tool for checking your links, say iwebtool or else. They will tell how many of your pages are indexed in google, yahoo and msn. Your site hoiseryandmore.com haven't indexed in google. Check this link for details...

How do I get my site

http://www.hosieryandmore.com indexed in google(Please point out the best way)
Should I go for article submissions/submit it to google itself/any other way

Also wanted to know whether if a given site is sandboxed in google or not.
How do I find it out?

Best and quickest way to get your site indexed is to link to it from other sites, not to submit your site to Google.

Yes, it will, but you will still need links for later.

You mean how to optimize pages for specific keywords? well if you do:

Include the keyword in Page Tittle & Page Name e.g. cookies.html
Have a keyword density of around 4.5% for your main keyboard
Emphasise you keyword by making if bold one or twice
Include your keyword in the footer
Include keyword within alt tag of an iimage if relevant, along with several other words
Link to the page via relevant anchor text

just a couple of the top of my head
