How do I find out how many people searched for a certain keyword on google or any other search engines?
Use Google Toolbar. If you add a word to search for it, than the toolbar will show to you how meny searchs are made for this word.
Keyword research tools do not show you actual number of searches across the net. They only show a sample, for example from particular search engines. No keyword tool has data on ALL the search engines. Some only try to estimate the total searches across the web by considering the market share of the engines from which they compile data.
Try using the keyword tool provided by this forum http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ It uses overture and wordtracker, as someone said you will not find total searches but with this tool you get an idea of the keywords to target. Godano
You can get keyword statistics per day. There are more than one tool on the market. I have two favorites but mostly uses a free quick search bar (searching for number of keyword phrase searches per day from within my browser).
SEObook's keyword tool is free and it looks like it's a nice tool to use. Does not give me enough detail though. I like the quick search bar of wordtracker and when I wish to dig deeper I use one of the list of tools of nichebot. If you want to go the free way I suggest installing the quick search script of WordTracker.
