Hi, I'm a developer by trade, that makes me a techy, hence one of the things that I'm really bad at is marketing - and so I thought 'let the affiliates do it for me!' It then struck me - 'Where do I find them?' Without resorting to CB, can anyone suggest a good place or method for getting lots of affiliates for my upcomming software release? thanks, Ed.
I think these forums would be a good place to start! Also, if willing join Commission Junction, or similar, as an advertiser.
Instead of Regnow I would go with Digital River's newer network - OneNetwork. They are managed by one of my 5 Star clients and putting most of their efforts into the new network now I think. Lots of affiliate forums, including mine, allow new program annoucements. Just read the rules as some require a fee or a certain number of posts.
That's a good idea. I am hoping to puch some software out in the coming months myself if I can ever afford the programming costs...LOL but posting in forums is indeed a great idea the more and more I read and see. The more convinced I become. As the majority of people on forums have thier own lists and they may be interested in either making some money or pushing the product to their perspective lists who may be interested. Different strokes for different folks.
If you already have an affiliate program then you could try submitting it to the affiliate program directories.
