Hi Photoshop pros I am trying to replicate text for web display. The first image is what the original image looks like in photoshop and then my attempt All I know is that the image mode is indexed, exact palette, 85 colours, forced black and white and matte black. This is what both the original image and my own look like on the website; If I go to "view page info" in firefox and view their media, their image looks like this; What have they done to make their text so clean and sharp and how can i do the same to my text? I have performed the same options as theirs such as indexed, exact palette, etc. yet I must be missing something?
Have you rasterized your type layer? Sometimes this will smooth it out. Ken Magas www.kenmagas.com www.graphicdesignamerica.com
they're glowing their text, while you're outlining it (which shouldn't make the results so different though). maybe it's something with the method you're using to save? I replicated this really quickly and it came out fine when I saved it with the ps default png options.
Yea your anti aliasing has to be a smooth or strong. You have a drop shadow maybe it has to do with the mode you have it set on in drop shadow? Make sure its on normal.
