Customize Permalink Structure ive never used perm links can someone please confirm if this is a powerful word press feature and how to use"" kudos given what do they do for my blog structure?? my blog is Sleekbusiness.com
yes, absolutely use custom permalinks using this: /%category%/%postname% so your permalinks will look like this: http://yoursite.com/category/posttitle it's a very good setup for SEO and Google will love you
they make urls more user friendly..very usefull for seo eg blogurl.com/category/post-title.html instead of blogurl.com/?p=234 To set them go to admin->option->permalinks ..choose custom and insert "/%category%/%postname%/" without "" -> click update...if you want a different url structure check http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks also look into this plugin http://scott.yang.id.au/code/permalink-redirect/ to redirect the old urls to the new ones!
