How Do I do this Customize Permalink Structure

    Customize Permalink Structure ive never used perm links can someone please confirm if this is a powerful word press feature and how to use"" kudos given:)
    what do they do for my blog structure??

    yes, absolutely use custom permalinks using this:

    /%category%/%postname%

    so your permalinks will look like this:

    http://yoursite.com/category/posttitle


    it's a very good setup for SEO and Google will love you :)

    they make urls more user friendly..very usefull for seo
    eg blogurl.com/category/post-title.html instead of blogurl.com/?p=234

    To set them go to admin->option->permalinks ..choose custom and insert "/%category%/%postname%/" without "" -> click update...if you want a different url structure check http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

    also look into this plugin http://scott.yang.id.au/code/permalink-redirect/ to redirect the old urls to the new ones!

    I have my own blog already and I host It im the perma links categorie right now" and i,m not sure what to write in the following' can you help here " here is what it ask of me to do"

    what about the Category base: should I leave blank??? I added in ganoderma/coffee

    that is optional..you can use the category base or tag base if you want to..that's up to you...
